The Valley Lodge

At Caballadas, we provide service and authenticity to our guests with comfortable family lodge accommodations and exclusive camping experiences.

The Lodge

The Valley Lodge, or “La Casa Grande” (The Big House), is located at the heart of the ranch, set on top of a hill providing a breathtaking view of the entire valley and surrounding area. This traditional family house is made of native oak wood and stone, typical of the region. It can accommodate up to 12 people in 8 bedrooms and 5 shared bathrooms. A large communal living room with a fireplace, dining room, and a large playroom for the kids – including a ping pong table – are also included, to ensure pleasure and relaxation throughout your stay.

The lodge comes fully equipped and provides family run service to our guests. Excellent food is served by our chef, offering a variety of traditional local dishes including the famous Argentine asados. Meals are accompanied with some of the finest Argentine wines. Telephone, limited Internet, and laundry services are available.

Camping

Our campsite, set in spectacular locations on our 20,000-hectare Estancia, are accessible only on foot or on horseback, and only to guests of the ranch. Our Horse Riding Expedition Trip includes three nights of camping, weather permitting.
On camping nights, your campsite will be up and running when you arrive! Your personal chef will have a nice bon-fire going, with a traditional Patagonian dish cooking, and a glass of wine awaiting your arrival. After a hearty meal, you’ll enjoy sleeping under the stars.
Nights can be cool, so warm clothes and a warm hat are advisable (we’ll send you a clothing and equipment list when you reserve your trip).

Located on a private estancia, family owned and operated since 1908, we offer unique experiences for clients with a passion for high-end, authentic, active travel. We provide authentic itineraries for our guests to explore and enjoy the real Patagonia.
